A couple of comments, the Lotus Foundation appliance gives os in flash and one button recovery, the software only version on other hardware does support IDB. You just have to do an install to recover the main drive if it fails. I’m using it in dev now. The biggest problem I have in moving it to production is that it uses apache for web access and the Domino server can use SSL only. So now DOmino web apps like the blog template.
Personally I don’t see what the windows vm will add as the targeted companies are small business, why would they want to spend more money for no additional features? I wish the single click install for the notes client was available on the normal Domino server.
